Selena ("we", "us", or "our") operates an AI-powered phone assistant service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at selena-cortex.com.

Information We Collect

How We Use Your Information

SMS Notifications

By providing your mobile number and creating an account, you consent to receive SMS messages from Selena. These messages include call summaries and voicemail notifications sent to your registered number. Message frequency varies based on your call volume. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for help.

We do not send promotional or marketing SMS messages. All messages are transactional notifications directly related to your Selena account activity.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party services required to operate Selena:

Google Integrations

Selena offers optional integrations with your Google account so it can schedule meetings during a call, keep your to-do items in sync, and keep your contacts in sync. These integrations are off unless you explicitly connect your Google account and grant access; you are shown Google’s consent screen and choose whether to approve. Each feature is individually opt-in from your Selena dashboard and off by default.

What we access. When you connect your Google account, Selena requests the following scopes and uses them only to provide the features described below:

What we do not do. Selena accesses your Google Calendar, Tasks, and Contacts data only to provide the features described above. We do not read or store more of your Google data than those features require, and we do not access any other Google services. Your Google data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.

How it is stored. To make these calls on your behalf, Google issues us an OAuth refresh token, which we store securely and associated with your account. We do not store your Google password. The token is used only to provide the Calendar, Tasks, and Contacts features you enable.

Optional and revocable. Connecting your Google account is entirely optional. You can disconnect it at any time from your Selena dashboard, and you can also revoke Selena’s access directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect Google from your dashboard, the stored refresh token is deleted; if you instead revoke access from your Google Account, the stored token immediately stops working and Selena can no longer read or write your Calendar, Tasks, or Contacts. Deleting your Selena account deletes the token as well. Events, tasks, and contacts Selena created remain in your Google account, which you control.

Limited Use Disclosure

Selena’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular, we do not sell Google user data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models. Google Calendar, Tasks, and Contacts data is used solely to provide the user-facing features described above.

Data Retention

Call transcripts and summaries are stored and associated with your account. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard, which permanently removes all associated call data.

Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Your database is stored on an encrypted persistent volume.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us or deleting your account directly from the dashboard.
